Dahi Vada is a popular easy Indian street food recipe where vada prepared from urad dal is deep fried and then served with sweet curd and tangy chutney.
Ingredients:
1 Cup Urad Dal, soaked for 4 hours
Coriander finely chopped
1/2 Cup Tamarind
250gm Jaggery
6 Green chilli
1 Cup Seedless Dates
Cumin Seeds -1tsp
6 Garlic cloves
1tsp Red chilli powder
1/2 Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
6 tsp Sugar
1/2 kg Curd
Oil for deep frying
Water
Salt to taste
